isCDO Privacy Statement
The International Society of Chief Data Officers (isCDO) is the professional society
of individuals who serve the
role of the Chief Data Officers (CDOs) for their organizations.
isCDO aims to bring together, support, and develop leaders in data across the world.
We are a non-profit organization that is run by its members for its members. We work with partners across industries and academia, with vendors, and with other commercial and non-profit partners in order to fulfill our mission while remaining steadfastly vendor/partner agnostic (neutral). Founded in 2015, isCDO grew out of, and maintain ties with, the MIT CDOIQ Symposium and are building our network of academic collaboration.
isCDO is currently operating under the auspices of the Reengineering Forum (REF), a U.S. registered 501(c)(6) non-profit industry association, founded in 1990 and incorporated in Massachusetts, that manages and fosters collaboration and professional exchange across a number of related data and information technology areas.
As a society, we run meetings with partner support for the exchange of ideas, trends in data leadership and to provide a neutral "safe place" for discussion. Some of our work with our partners includes supporting meetings they run and for which we try to arrange special offers and opportunities for our members. We commission and publish papers and seek contributions from a wide range of thinkers and practitioners in the field. We also work cooperatively with academic researchers and institutions.
We only collect those data needed to establish and support your membership, for the delivery of member services, for the payment of fees, and to satisfy applicable laws and regulations. The data we collect is:
- Name and affiliation;
- Email address, postal address, telephone and fax numbers;
- Login authentication details for isCDO services;
- Country of residence and home address if applicable;
- Membership in committees, working groups, and other isCDO member activities;
- Payment details for membership and services
We use industry standard security and protection capabilities to ensure your data is kept safe. We endeavor to follow the principles of the highest global standards in Data Protection, currently GDPR, without that detracting from your rights within your country of residence. A Board Member is designated with specific responsibility for Data Protection, analogous to the DPO, to deliver our response to the exercising of those rights.
As we update our membership and services, and as regulations change, we regularly review and update this policy.
